SAMPS — Sahara Aviation Maintenance Planning System
SAMPS is Sahara African Aviation's in-house maintenance and planning system. It helps the team track fleet airworthiness, schedule inspections, manage defect reports, and control parts inventory. It provides a single dashboard for all maintenance operations.
What does SAMPS do?
SAMPS centralises every aspect of aircraft maintenance management. Maintenance teams use it to monitor fleet status in real time, create and track work orders from open to completion, log and resolve defects, schedule recurring inspections, and stay compliant with airworthiness directives.
Key capabilities
- Fleet management with real-time aircraft airworthiness status
- Work order creation, assignment, tracking, and completion
- Defect logging, severity classification, and resolution
- Inspection scheduling with automated overdue alerts
- Airworthiness directive (AD) compliance tracking
- Parts and inventory management with low-stock warnings
- Document storage for manuals, service bulletins, and regulatory forms
- Freight and shipment tracking for parts logistics
- Full audit trail for regulatory compliance and record keeping
- Role-based access for owners, admins, managers, engineers, and pilots
Who is SAMPS for?
SAMPS is used by Sahara African Aviation (AMO 1183) staff, approved contractors, and invited clients to stay on top of regulatory compliance, scheduled maintenance, and parts logistics across the Sahara fleet. Access is by invitation only.
How does SAMPS help with compliance?
The platform automatically tracks inspection due dates and airworthiness directive deadlines against each aircraft. When an inspection or AD approaches its due date, SAMPS generates alerts on the dashboard. Overdue items are highlighted in red so nothing is missed. A complete audit trail records every action for regulatory review.
How does parts inventory work?
SAMPS tracks every part by part number, serial number, condition, and location. When stock falls below the minimum quantity, a low-stock alert appears on the dashboard. Parts usage is linked to work orders so you always know what was installed, when, and on which aircraft.
How are defects handled in SAMPS?
A defect is any discrepancy reported on an aircraft. SAMPS lets engineers log defects with severity levels (critical, high, medium, low), link them to a specific aircraft, and track them through to resolution. Critical defects trigger dashboard alerts so they receive immediate attention.
